International Womens Day 2023 – 12 Visionary Women Leaders in Entrepreneurship Education for Young Children

International Womens Day 2023 is on Tuesday, March 8, 2023. This day is celebrated annually to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in various fields, including social, economic, culture, political and education. International Womens Day 2023 has gained much prominence over the years.

The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2023 (IWD 2023) is, DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality

On this International Womens Day 2023, we take this opportunity to reflect on Women Educators in the field of Early Entrepreneurship Education

As of 2023, there are many women leaders in education who are making significant contributions to entrepreneurship education for kids worldwide. Here are a few examples:

  1. Yasmin Mahmood: Malaysian educator and entrepreneur who has worked to promote entrepreneurship education for kids in Malaysia and beyond. She is the CEO of FutureReady Academy, which provides coding and entrepreneurship programs for kids, and has been a strong advocate for STEM education and entrepreneurship for young girls.
  2. Swati Gauba: An Indian national and Singapore resident who has worked tirelessly over the last 3 years to promote an entrepreneurial mindset for kids. She is the Thinker in Chief at Kidspreneurship and one of the most passionate entrepreneur educator. She has created a very well structured program for kids and trainers and is working tirelessly to ensure every child has access to high quality, affordable entrepreneurship education from a young age.
  3. Annie Koh: Singaporean educator and researcher who has focused on developing entrepreneurship education programs for kids in Singapore and Asia. She is the Vice President of Business Development and External Relations at Singapore Management University, and has been a key advocate for entrepreneurship education for young children.
  4. Rui Wang: Chinese educator and entrepreneur who has worked to promote entrepreneurship education for kids in China. She is the Founder of Zaojiu, an education platform that provides entrepreneurship and financial education for kids, and has been recognized as one of the most innovative educators in China.
  5. Seong-Nam Kim: South Korean educator and researcher who has focused on developing entrepreneurship education programs for kids in South Korea. She is a Professor at the Graduate School of Education at Korea University, and has been a key advocate for entrepreneurship education for young children.
  6. Raden Diana Sari: Indonesian educator and entrepreneur who has worked to promote entrepreneurship education for kids in Indonesia. She is the Founder of Kiddo Science, an education platform that provides science, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship programs for kids, and has been recognized as one of the most innovative educators in Indonesia.

She is the Founder and CEO of Cotential, a consulting firm that helps organizations develop collaboration and innovation skills, and has written extensively on the topic of entrepreneurship education for kids.
  8. Reshma Saujani: American lawyer, activist, and educator who is the Founder of Girls Who Code, a non-profit organization that aims to close the gender gap in technology by teaching girls to code. She has been a strong advocate for entrepreneurship education for girls, and has written several books on the topic.
  9. Tanya Sarin: Indian educator who has made significant contributions in the field of entrepreneurship education for kids.   11. Alisa Wang: Chinese-American educator and entrepreneur who has developed entrepreneurship education programs for kids in the United States and China. She is the Founder of Project Invent, an organization that helps high school students develop entrepreneurial solutions to social problems, and has been recognized as one of Forbes’ “30 under 30” in education.
  12. Claire McDonnell: Australian educator and entrepreneur who has developed entrepreneurship education programs for kids in Australia and beyond. She is the Founder of Schoolyard Ventures, an organization that teaches kids to develop and launch their own businesses, and has been recognized for her work in entrepreneurship education for kids.

These are just a few examples of the many women who are making significant contributions to entrepreneurship education for kids in 2023. Their work is helping to inspire and equip the next generation of entrepreneurs, and is shaping the future of entrepreneurship and innovation worldwide.
